Bur Oak

This sturdy North American tree tolerates a variety of soil types and air pollution, a fine choice for cities. It grows slowly, reaching up to 25m tall and living 200+ years. Acorns 2-3cm long have a deep cup and shaggy fringe, looking almost like a bur.
